Why ME from the  thousands of copywriters out there?

     Life's a minefield. So we've  got to know where we're stepping. Get it wrong and... BAM!... life gets turned on its head.    
     However, with the right plan, with the right associations, with the right skill and knowledge, we can create miracles.
    
     Just like in marriage and choosing life partners, careful consideration has got to be given in choosing business and marketing  associates. 
     Are there mistakes made in both? Sure. Just look at both sets of statistics. 
     And, whether you believe it or not, they're both interlinked.

    I've just celebrated 10 years of marriage. Note the word 'celebrated', for that's what life should be.
    Similarly, business and marketing should be celebrated. Marketing should be at the top  of every business person's agenda.
     I'm of the belief that happiness, fun, excitement and super profits can all work together. It can all be rolled into one syngeristic ball of excitement. That's what I'll bring to the table. 

     And look, I'm a big believer in telling when the Emperor's got no clothes. If things aren't working, they're not working. No amount of positive thinking will fix it. Practical solutions... will.
     Most advertising and marketing can be improved in each and every business... depending on the business owner's 'permission'  to let it.   

     Quite honestly, I've not travelled the path of those who've worked for ad agencies, have degrees and qualifications as long as their arm and as wide as the wall will allow certificates to hang.
     I'm saying that even though I've a post graduate chartered marketing qualification.
     My REAL education came in the midnight hours, pouring through every great marketing and advertising book, delving into the genius campaigns taht made fortunes, dug into the biographies of those ad pros who made giant sums of money with practical marketing solutions and not mere academic, complex theories and philosophies.  

     One thing I  realised was that if  I wanted to excel at anything, I needed to learn it from the best. So that's what I proceeded to do. The most important thing a business owner can do is to educate themselves in the art and skill of learning how to create direct response salescopy and marketing materials.

It's no excuse to say business is down, sales are down, the economy sucks, life's the pits. All of life can be boosted by the exhilaration and joy that comes from  creating powerful marketing assets in the form of direct response copywriting. 

Either learn to do it yourself or form a relationship with someone who knows what the heck they're doing. 

      If there's one area causing most concern for a whole array of business owners... the world over, it's the ability to put words on paper or on a pc... in order to sell their products and services.

     But that's not even half the story.

     The main problem I see is that the creative thinking, the main CREATIVE IDEA behind the writing, is VITAL... and most, skip this crucial part, thinking all they need to do is to get out a piece of paper or get tapping away on the keyboard.

     I was an invited guest to a particular entrepreneurial programme run by my friend of mine.

     Would you like to know what the main fear was with these entrepreneurs? Well, I'll tell you. It was the fact that these entrepreneurs were somewhat scared of their own creativity and about the way they market their products and services.

     The fear of ... "what will others say" and the... "I'm not good enough and what I'm putting out in terms of marketing, may just fall flat on its face."  

     These are REAL thoughts, though, easily fixed (as with
anything) with the right mix of confidence and
guidance. 
     
     Now on the other side of things, let me tell you that many business owners, service professionals and entrepreneurs feel that writing effective, sales producing material ... is somewhat pretty easy to do.

     And so in turn, feel that they do not really need to really get down, roll their sleeves up and focus in this area in order to make their business grow.

     Quite frankly, it's the same as saying, "I don't need to go to a doctor or specialist, I'll cure myself with this DIY kit over here!"

     Seems far fetched... ludicrious... plain and simple ridiculous... doesn't it?  

     Well, let me tell you that it happens on such a regular basis that it's not funny. 

     Especially when we realise that NOTHING much happens if the creative thinking and the effective writing, DOESN'T GET DONE. 

     And... do you know what? 

     Even though it's true, there are thousands of business owners in both small and large concerns who are struggling beyond belief... they still don't want to fix this glaring problem!

     So, quite frankly, this website, especially this creative thinking & writing section will be of little use to them. 

     However...

     If you are a service professional, business coach, a consultant, or an online entrepreneur, or even a paid employee who's absolutely committed to bringing your valauble products and services to your target audience...

     Success in life depends on the quality of your relationships and the quality of your communication within those relationships. 

     Success in business depends on the quality and effectiveness of your written and promotional marketing material. 

     You know, it's pretty easy to create products and services... THOUGH... it takes a particular skill to sell them.   

     The number of business owners and service  professionals who've reached the business graveyard because of not telling their entire story to the world... is staggering!

DIY writing and marketing... or... hiring others to do it for you?

     If you're like most business people, you've probably got a lot riding on your venture. There's a plenty at stake. Maybe your family's future is dependant on what you do and how profitable  you are.

     Is that true for you also?

     It's a pretty big burden to shoulder. And many times, it seems like there's just not enough time in the day to damp out all the fires that are needing your constant attention.

     There's a few other 'non essentials' that creep into the whole scenario. The way you're greeted, the body language and friendliness of those welcoming you, the quality of the decor, the pleasantness of the music, , the cleanliness of the environment, the smell of the place, the way the toilets are maintained, the timliness of your treatment, the attention to detail, the way you're treated after you've had your dental work...

     It all contributes!

     Can you see how important it all is to the overall impact, and as to whether you'll be back again for further treatment?

    As far as I know, we're given one shot at this thing called life. For some, it' ll zoom past, lightning quick. For others, they'll ponder and reflect on the abundance of it.

 I Insist in Delivering a Value Based Service Rather Than Simply Price Shopping Madness

     If you have a nervous reaction when it comes to paying for a service that, quite frankly, is the biggest paying aspect of your business - the marketing and copywriting- then please pay careful attention to what's written below.

     And, in fact, it will give you clues how you should be thinking about your products and services and the way you price them.    

     It's instructive, informative and profitable at the same time.


     I've a friend who wanted to have his swimming pool redone.  It was scaling, peeling and all round, was in pretty bad shape.  In fact, it was his wife who felt that things were looking bad and decided to go about trying to fix the problem.

     She called three different pool service people and told them to come to the house to give their estimates, quotes, ideas, opinions, etc.

     The first contractor knocked on the door and was let into the house. He had a look at the pool, quickly jotted a few notes and said it'd cost 2.5K.

     The second contractor arrived the next day, did pretty much the same thing as the first contractor, and said it'd cost 3.5K.

     The third contractor arrived. He was shown the way to the pool area , just like the first two. He then turned and said to Mary if it was alright if he asked her a question. Mary nodded and said it would be okay.

     The contractor simply asked her what's important to her about getting the pool treated and fixed. Mary replied that the safety and welbeing of her kids.

     The pool contractor pressed her as to what was it that was important about the children's wellbeing and that of her children's friends.

     She was frightened if her kids, and any of those friends of the children came to play and use the pool, she'd feel worried that there could be an accident.  

     Whilst in this questioning process, the contractor pointed out a host of other elements that needed taking care of, like the stairs up and down to the pool, the life safety equipment, the gate to the pool area...

      Nothing hardsell about it. Just careful observation and stating the abvious. 

     After all was said and done, the contractor sent a proposal that amounted to 5 TIMES the amount of the previous two contractors! 

     And, do you know what happened? 
   
     The proposal was accepted,  in a flash!

     Why?

     Simply because the contractor took time to find out exactly what was key and important about getting the swimming pool treated. And that made all the difference in the trusting feeling that was generated.

     Of course, the lower price contractors will get jobs and contracts. But, not to the level and quality of client that the third contractor just accomplished.

     If all you're after in a copywriting or marketing project is to haggle and price shop, then you'll be delighted to know that there are thousands who'll take you up on your offer if you search the Internet.

     And as you'll quickly see, you'll get INSTANT results!
